Early voting not favouring Democrats as it ‘traditionally’ would

US political consultant Steven Hendrix says early voting this cycle is not favouring Democrats to the extent it traditionally would.

Donald Trump and Kamala Harris continue campaigning in key states in the final days before the US election.

“Traditionally, Democrats would have thought that if there’s an increase in voter turnout and excitement that favours the Democrats – I’m not sure that’s true,” Mr Hendrix said.

“This time around, the Republicans have made a get out the vote campaign [to] get people to vote early.”

I'm Republican and you guys are being too optimistic. Democrats are more likely to vote by mail which are counted later than in person voting which Republican prefer. And more of the early counts are from women voters who are more likely Harris supporters. And the numbers in the Rust Belt are not that great. I hope things turn out good in the end, but this feels like the red mirage of 2020 :/
