At first I thought this was a Hitchcock film. I tend not to read reviews and absolutely loved this film, I always adore the plot where a number of people are isolated in a remote house. Thank you for posting.

house on haunted hill being my favorite film of this type i like this one. ten little indians, the Bat, and also the universal films monster, sherlock holmes type films have great mood.
