In today's hot or rot? we take a look at the newly announced Meet the Queens of Rupaul's Drag Race Global All Stars! 12 Queens from 12 countries will be competing for a cash prize of $200,000 and a special international spot in the Drag Race Hall of Fame. Notably, Alyssa Edwards from Drag Race US season 5 and All Stars Season 2 returns to compete for her third time, among other fan favorites like Kitty Scott-Claus (DRUK), Kween Kong (DRDU), Pythia (CDR), and Soa De Muse (DRF).

Honestly this is how Global seasons like this should be get one very well known queen for publicity and the rest queens who actually need or deserve another chance and not preferably not 50 queens from one franchise. This being one from each is spectacular.

it maybe is a coincidence, but Eva Le Queen doing weightlifting is iconic because the Phillipines just earned their FIRST ever GOLD medal in the sport of weightlifting via Hidilyn Diaz.

Fun Fact, when Global All Stars was recorded, The final of DragRace Brazil hadn't had aired yet, so Miranda lebrão went All Stars sequestred without knowing how she placed or if she even had won. But production might have disclosed it to her.

But look at who Alyssa’s competition was during her seasons: Jinx, Alaska, Katya, Roxxxy, Detox. She may have placed 5th but that was next to absolute Drag LEGENDS. Not discounting the other countries Queens, but it wasn’t exactly an even playing field.

As a Scandinavian, I appreciate Sweden finally being represented. It doesn’t seem like Vanity has much support from the channels that I watch, but at least I hope she’ll get judged fairly. I obviously don’t know how she translates, but she was one of my favorites on Swedish drag race.

I have read / heard that there will be a rotating panel of guest judges from the representing franchises.

I'm truly excited about this season but I don't think that'll be fair in any way shape or form, I'm a Brazilian citizen and I could say that I have a very good English, enough to speak to someone who has English as their first language, but still it's really hard for me sometimes to really express myself in another language, I think that most of the cast will struggle with the language barrier even more than we already had seen in the other seasons. I think that queens like Miranda, gala, and other non English speakers will be at a big disadvantage going against someone like Alyssa or kitty.
