The Princess of Wales has announced that she has been diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy.

In a statement, Kate said that when she was admitted to hospital for abdominal surgery in January, it was thought her condition was non-cancerous, but tests after the operation found cancerous cells.

Kate said that it had been an “incredibly tough” couple of months for her family, and that she has waited until now to update the public about her health because it had taken time to explain her condition to her children.

Thinking of Jate and her family at this time. I was driving when I heard this news and the tears welled up. Kate had her op the same day as my daughters and they have started chemo at a similar time too.
