Congratulations on reaching the ready to sell point! I like the “speaking with perspective customer” practice. That alone makes the price point even more reasonable.

Edcor iron definitely plays nice w/ my Tongsol EL34B'z. Glad you've vetted the tube-iron mix and finally heading into production land :)

Skunkie Is Right!! I have been listening to an EL34/7025 amp, based on her 6SQ7 circuit, for a month now and it sounds wonderful!! I am using a pair of NOS Electro Harmonix EL34EH’s with a new production EH 7025 driver and the Edcor 5K iron. They all mate well with my vintage mid-70’s AVID 3-way sealed speakers. Plenty of clean power for my personal listening levels. The 3D imaging is excellent. I listen to vinyl thru an EAR834 clone and also digital via a home brew R2R ladder DAC. Congratulations Stephe on your accomplishments and I cannot thank you enough for re-igniting the tube bug in me. I wish you all the best!!

This and a pair of matched speakers would make a fabulous birthday gift for anyone who loves to listen to music.

I am excited to see this Skunkie amp go on the market. Where else could someone buy a tube amp where all the measurements, design concepts, component comparisons, and subjective listening is so well published. Not only can someone get a nice amp but also learn a lot about gear.

Great you all succes and pleasure realising your project .
Indeed a good 5751 is a win in a vintage MC Intosh it sounds very good.
You have a winning team with this tubes, simple circuit ( lesser components ; less degradation and less loss of the musicalsugnal ) and resulting in great sound, the price of the Edcores makes it a steal to build and sell..

PS : It could be interesting to measure the resistance of the windings of the OPT as well as the symmetry of both PP windings and compare these on both OPT's .
Kind regards

There is not a single 12AX7 I really like, and I tried many brands. 5751s are the tubes to go for, especially the military grade General Electrics.

Great channel. Was hoping you might consider a 2a3 amplifier with volume control some time in the future. I know you mentioned you want to build amps with easy to get components. But, I have always heard that 2a3 single ended is the way to go for voice. Thanks.
