Who wants to see aperture ring on more Z lenses?

I like the way you deliver your reviews, Richard. Looks like a very good lens. Another excellent review, thank you!

What do you guys think about this Viltrox AF 24 1.8 Z lens? What other 3rd party lens manufacturer you want to create autofocus lenses for Nikon Z cameras ?

I had NO IDEA you could switch the aperture to (A). Thumbs up for that alone!

I bought this lens and use it on the Z50. This review is consistent with my experience. Nikon now has a 24 mm 1.7 lens, which is essentially the same. I have not tested that lens, but I can attest the Viltrox version is good value. My only regret is that it does not have a manual focus button. Thanks for the review.

Great review! I have the Viltrox 85mm f1.8 and it's quite nice and works for me as I'm just a casual/amateur photographer and didn't want to spend almost double for the Nikon version. Debating on this or the 35mm f1.8 but will wait on the review before pulling the trigger; albeit I'm more interested in the 35mm.

Nice review. Boy that is tempting...could get this and the 85mm prime for less than the native Z 20mm. But the weatherproofing on the Z lenses is a big consideration for me. Still, something to think about. Thanks Richard, well done!

Hi Richard and thanks for all your videos, especially this one. As an enthusiast with a Z5, this sounds like a good choice for me.

BTW, You may have mislabeled the initial Z50 images with the Z7ii labels.

Respect your un-biased opinion when reviewing lenses, as well as lesser known glass that's out there on the market. Subbed <3

Another very thorough review Richard. Great stuff. Quick question: you mentioned there is no weather sealing. So, if out and about and it starts raining, you need to put it away? Or can it handle light rain?

Thank you Richard, another great review I might consider buying this lens

What is the maximum zoom percentage to expect a sharp image? 200%? Because when i zoom a lot on my viltrox 24mm the image looks pixelated

sorry, a noob questions here, can we open the "blade" manually?i always do it easily on my Nikkor N lenses with a small "toggle" at the back of the lens(when i want to check for a fungus), cant find a way to do it on viltrox lenses

Great review! Question.. when viltrox release the lens profile, does it means the jpeg photos in camera can be corrected for distortion and vignette? Sorry I don't have a Nikon Z camera. Not sure how's the 3rd party lens support in it. And also.. is the Viltrox AF 35 1.8 coming very soon too? Thanks!

For portraits should I get this lens or keep my sigma 24mm 1.4

Hi Richard, i've seen reviews about viltrox 24mm for the sony mount and they mentioned that the bokeh was "nervous". Do you feel the z version would be different than the sony mounted one?

Hi Richard, thanks for the review. I've just received mine today, looks really nice. I wanted to ask if the lens hood was really hard to put on and off? The one I have is so stiff I feel like I'm about to break when I try and put it on and off?
