BMW fuel consumption readout correction in trip computer

How to correct your BMW trip computer so the fuel consumption readout is exactly the same as your actual. You need to calculate new correction value based on the current estimation and your fuel usage over last hundreds of kilometers. Then you need to enter #BMW instrument cluster #hiddenMenu and input that new correction value into the system.
From now on the estimated fuel consumption in your BMW trip computer should match real world values.

To enter hidden menu you need to press and hold trip reset button for about 10 seconds. First screen called 01.00 should show you last 7 characters of your VIN.
You need to add-up last 5 digits, so for example with characters AB24680 you should calculate 2+4+6+8+0=20. This value (20 in this example) is the lock code to unlock hidden menu.
Now press and hold trip reset button until you see 01.__.
Release the button and the press couple times, until you reach menu index 19.__ with LOCK: ON message.
Press trip reset button to enter lock code (in this example it's 20), wait few seconds for the menu to go back to index 01.__.
Again go to index 19.__, to confirm that there's LOCK: OFF message.
Now navigate to 20.__, where 20.00 should show you your current correction value.
Use trip reset button to enter new correction value the way it's shown in this video.

Mom didn't know how it the mileage consumption change to something else, a couple months ago, and then it came back. I found it displayed the way it usually was when we first got it showing the estimated mileage left per fuel amount.

Nic z tego nie rozumiem. Co to znaczy "aby odczyt średniego spalania pokrywał się z rzeczywistością"? Komputer sam nie podaje/przelicza rzeczywistego spalania na 100km? Kiedy stosować ten zabieg korekty? Skąd pojawia się zakłamanie w stosunku do rzeczywistego spalania i co ma na to wpływ, że komputer przekłamuje?

is the formula the same if actual consumption is less than the estimated? Actual is 12.4 estimated is 14.7 so 14.7/12.4=1185?

My gas meter stops at 3/4 That's when I run out of gas Is there anyway I can reset this so it goes back to zero so when I fill up the tank it will tell me that I need to add more fuel when necessary

Does this have any effect on fuel consumption ? Or BC just going to show you just slightly different consumption then in reality ? I do have BMW 118d e87 m47 90kw and fuel consumption is around 9.5 to 10l in a city traffic ( mostly cold shorter trips ) at 40km/h average speed, combined around 6.5 to 7l at 75km/h and around 5.3l at 90-100km/h, city traffic consumption seems bit thirsty to me so wondering if does correction have anything to do with it. Fueling showing me similar results calculating, fuel injector diagnostic runned fine, no dpf, so wondering if intercooler or air filter don't mess things up

Hello, wonderful video. I have one question, my real fuel consumption is 8.3 liters per 100km, onboard computer shows 14.4 liters per 100km, my correction value based on your formula is 0576, and the lowest correction value I can input is 776, am I doing something wrong?
