Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust Receives People's Postcode Trust Award

The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust set sail again yesterday, with a little help from the People's Postcode Trust - funded by the players of the People's Postcode Lottery. The Cancer Trust was founded by Dame Ellen MacArthur in 2003. The Trust aims to inspire young people's cancer recovery through sailing. Four day yacht trips provide a unique experience for the young people, where they get the chance to test themselves in a safe and supportive environment. So when the People's Postcode Trust discovered that the Cancer Trust's services were struggling as a result of transport issues, it awarded the team £10,000 funding. This money will be used to purchase a van to transport the children safely.
