Earth's New Mini Moon! Asteroid PT5 2024

Solar system update! there is a small celestial body, set to become Earth's newest Mini Moon for 56 days starting in late September 2024. Discovered by the Atlas telescope in South Africa, PT5 measures about 10 meters (33 feet) in diameter and will orbit our planet before continuing its journey around the Sun.

Doesn't a moon have to go round the earth at least 360 degrees?

Why does no one seem scared of this? Small chance of it hitting us isn't no chance, nor is it no chance of breaking up, or hitting the moon. Is it just because it's smaller than the stuff we send up there?
