Even if "Luna" is just the Latin word for Moon, and not its name.
I'd agrue that the Latin language, and the name Luna, came before we understood the concept of "A moon" or that other planets could have them.

Meaning that the word/name "Luna" originated as a name, rather than a description.


Our Moon is named Luna.

I'm not concerned that the main stream media mislabeled this near Earth object to gain attention. I'm bothered by the fact that they all decided to report the same ironious story at the same time. Who is/are the person or people that decided that all of the media are going to report this same story?

It's smaller than the ISS. That's an asteroid not a moon. Glad you cleared up the misconceptions once again.
