Usually if you just go over the lines with a black marker circuit should be able to pick them up.

I actually use brown cardstock all the time on my Cricut. I don't use this hack. I just print then cut as usual. This seems like a lot of steps to go through. This hack Might work on dark dark colors. But for brown the Cricut reads the registration lines just fine. I don't know about the Air 2. My Air 2 does not ever read any print than cut. So I just use my Maker like I said it reads brown cardstock registration lines perfectly no hacks needed. 🙂

Does your cricut not work on colored paper? I'm having issues but I'm trying to cut gold reflective sticker paper. But I thought it worked on any color paper it's just the glossyness messes it up

I kinda figure my problem was I just have the explore. It would not read with glossy paper so I had to use tape on the resignation marks. It kept saying use white paper. So I just switch to my cameo 4.

I tried this hack on red cardstock. I'm not sure why it didn't work no matter how much I trimmed.

This won't work with the corner lines brown cardstock still blocks the eye.

I can’t understand why this is even an issue. It’s like buying a black and white tv. If I’d known this I’d never have bought this thing. Of course now I threw out the box. I even used cream colored paper and it won’t work. It’s so dumb

Incredible waste of time and effort, much easier to use a paper guillotine or craft knife and straight edge
