Ahh thank you I was trying to derive the conservation form of the Navier Stokes equations from their non-conservation form and needed to remember the identity for the divergence of the product of a scalar times a vector ! Exactly what I was looking for.

Is there a difference between "u dot del" and the divergence of u? Isn't the result of the dot product the same even if you switch the two vectors?

I'm a little confused. On the eighth on, which ones are the scalars and which are the vectors? Someone please maybe feather it in for the newb here.
