It's safe to store the value of milliseconds till the value reaches to 1.84x10e19(app.)

Don't know if I'm right or not but the we have still 292471155 years left from this date to hold the value in long data type.(Pardon me if I'm wrong. Even I'm also confused if it's right or not.)

Yes it is safe till a specific time duration because the long data type can store the maximum value of 2^63-1 while the current milliseconds since 1 Jan, 1970 are 1^12. But as the time passes to an extent where even the long data type will become useless so we can't use it.

Conclusion:- It is not safe to store number of milliseconds in a variable of type long.
