Film Stock Simplified - Part Five

Shooting on film is one of the things that is a rarity, starting out there’s a very slim chance that you’ll even be able to shoot with it, unless it’s super 8, maybe 16 if you’re lucky, but that doesn’t really matter, we can emulate it now, and digital is a lot cheaper, however that doesn’t mean that we can’t learn about it, and in this series, I look at simplifying every aspect of film stock.

In today’s video, I want to look at both the colour grading, which is different to the lab process, as well as how you can get started with super8, in the simplest way possible.

As always if you have a recommendation for an analysis, let me know below!

Timeline:

00:44 Colour Grading
02:30 Starting with Super8
03:59 Conclusion

Hey Angus, I love your videos! Which video of yours did you mention/talk about the movie Ocean’s Eleven? I’ve been trying to find it .
