The CBR1000RR-R Fireblade represents a significant leap in development, featuring a newly tuned 1,000cc inline four-cylinder semi-cam gear engine that delivers enhanced mid-range acceleration and impressive top-end power. Several components have been revised, including the cylinder head, compression ratio, valve timing, and springs, while the crankshaft and con-rods have been lightened, and the gearbox now boasts shorter ratios. The addition of 2-Motor Throttle By Wire ensures precise control and feel at lower rpm, with the option for increased engine braking. The aluminum diamond-style frame has been refined to enhance steering accuracy and traction, complemented by features such as an RC213V-S-derived swingarm, a six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), and a 3-level Honda Electronic Steering Damper (HESD). Suspension components include a Showa 43mm Big Piston Fork (BPF) and a Balance Free Rear Cushion Light (BFRC-Lite) rear shock, paired with Nissin four-piston front calipers. New winglets provide downforce with reduced yaw moment in cornering. The riding position has been optimized for enhanced rider control, while a full-color TFT screen offers intuitive access to riding modes and adjustments for Power, Engine Brake, HSTC, Wheelie Control, and Start Mode. Cornering ABS now includes an additional RACE setting, and Honda’s Emergency Stop Signal and Smart Key features remain as standard.
