This is like, the perfect depiction of G5, the best the studio has done so far. Luffy feels on model, the emphasis on the red eyes in zoomed out and shaded shots sells him being this type of uncontrollable, menacing force while keeping him goofy and fun with the bouncing and rubbery movements

I love watching Kaido slowly accepting his opponent's prowess more and more as the fight goes on. At first, he thought Gear 5 was absolutely ridiculous. Now, he is slowly letting himself have more fun as he fights against Nika's powers as he sees just how powerful they are.

The amount of love put into these animations is so incredible. Every week of this luffy kaido fight i end up rewatching the main bits at .25 speed and finding amazing small details like the sun symbol appearing in luffy’s lightning paths for example. I love this show so much
