Crooked believes that we need a better conversation about politics, culture, and the world around us—one that doesn’t just focus on what’s broken, but what we can do to fix it. At a time when it’s increasingly easy to feel cynical or hopeless, former Obama staffers Jon Favreau, Jon Lovett, and Tommy Vietor have created a place where people can have sane conversations that inform, entertain, and inspire action. In 2017 they started Crooked with Pod Save America—a no-bullshit conversation about politics. Since then, we continue to add shows, voices, and opportunities for activism, because it’s up to all of us to do our part to build a better world. That’s it. End of mission.

I am from Arizona. This is all my friends and I are talking about. We're furious.

I am in awe of the women who have the courage to take an immensely personal and painful experience and tell that story to help us all understand the consequences of any ban. They have my love and thanks.

When my husband and I were trying to have babies, I miscarried three separate times at various stages of fetal development up to 10 weeks. Every time I was pregnant it was a wanted baby. Three times I miscarried and it happened after seeing a heart beat on the monitor and the baby looking fine but then the heart beat wasn't there at the next appointment and we ultimately had a deceased baby that I had to deal with by an induced birth at the hospital. Eventually we turned to ivf for a successful pregnancy. Each miscarriage was devastating and I cannot imagine myself having a criminal record for the medical help that I needed to have during this time. I met a Buddhist during these years and her comments about life and reincarnation were a great comfort when you are trying to make sense of what keeps happening and why the baby is only living for a short time. She told me that some souls do not need to experience a full life to be reincarnated and ascend spiritually and my babies had chosen to not be born. I'm not a Buddhist, I'm a Christian but I found it very comforting to think that.
Kari lake is or was a Buddhist as she once was also a news person. Why she has turned on her self is strange and sad.

One thing about Trump, you can always rely on him to go above and beyond the previous stupidity

The effects of Dobbs:
1. The number of abortions has increased over what would have been expected
2. Abortion is more difficult to obtain
3. Pregnancy is more dangerous
4. More women are deciding against getting pregnant

Dobbs increased the number of abortions while making them more difficult to obtain, made pregnancy more dangerous and is discouraging women from having children.

So how does this suit the republicans agenda?

Trump changed his abortion views when he began to show.

Pregnancy is scary for women. Not being sure you can get the medical care you need if something goes wrong to prevent your pregnancy from becoming life threatening is terrifying. Dems should campaign on this.

I am long past being capable of pregnancy, but my heart breaks for those capable of childbearing under any GQP states. I cannot imagine the sheer terror if anything were to go wrong. Dealing with loss and mourning what could have been are difficult enough without the hateful and ignorant laws Republicans have enacted.

Trump was asked, "Do you think doctor's should be punished for doing abortions?" His response was totally reflective by saying "It's in the hands of the states like the people wanted it." That tells me Trump has no reasoning power let alone moral bone to take responsibility for his actions in thought or deed.😊

My heart to Josh & Amanda. I went thru similar. It was hard enough. And I was able to get the medical care I needed. And they put their tragedy on full display. God bless & heal them.

If your husband/boyfriend is on the anti-abortion side of the fence, let him know he cannot do the activity that might cause pregnancy.

Why don’t we see ads against children being forced to have the child of their rapist? Anyone under the age of consent has been raped. The dna from the child would identify the father. Charge him, convict and make him register as a sex offender. Protect the children at the very least!

Trump says Arizona went too far but he didn't say the other 14 states that banned abortion went too far.

This is not a game. Women are afraid, suffering, and dying. How many hospitals and clinics will close? How many doctors and nurses will leave the profession? January 20, 2025

Affordable Care Act saved my family as the sole family supporter of 4 which included my permanently disabled husband who had 18 medications resulting from his heart failure at age 41 from an airborne virus and subsequent stroke, blindness, kidney dialysis, amputation and head cancer. It was a blessing when he finally had his pain end after 27 years.

Would Trump be personally against a ban on abortion? He doesn't think the law matters to his own wants, needs or behavior. Obviously. So the question of how he'd personally vote in FL is moot. If Abortion were illegal and he wanted one of his poor rape victims to get one, she'd get one. No matter what state, no matter what the law says.

I have had 2 miscarriges with D/C after, one at 12 weeks and one at 14 weeks, if not for the D/C I could've died! I hate that they call this life saving procedure an "abortion"!!! So disheartening.

a) Biden didn't 'disappear', he was busy working. b) I don't think folks 'tuned out', they just didn't have to worry every day about what BSC stuff was going to happen.
