It's pretty simple .. Swalwell needed a sound bite to look cool questioning Ben Shapiro. And he tried to but failed to get Ben to say anything stupid, because Ben isn't an idiot, even if I don't care for all of his views. Just a complete silly line of questioning and waste of everyone's time. Why was he even asked these types of questions at a Judiciary Committee hearing?

So let me get this straight. This was a hearing on government’s influence on big tech censorship and Ben was here to talk about the effects on his company. Swalwell decided to use his time to not talk about that issue and instead ask a bunch of random questions on Ben’s beliefs. Then he claims this whole hearing is theater. You can’t turn something into theater and then complain about it.
