Excellent tutorial. just exactly what I needed. I watched it first without Inkscape open, so I was a little overwhelmed, but when I tried to work alongside the tutorial, it was pretty easy. Thank you!

Duplicating a map at 4:00 could be avoided using Path->Division tool with only 1 rect in center as it will slice 1 object with another.

When creating stroke at 11:00, I found the stroke's outline to be missaligned on X axis with the bending corner of the map & I had to adjust it using ruler, duno what went wrong. (using 0.91)

Thank you for the tutorial.
Once again your finished piece runs rings around mine. I ended up with the yellow rectangles not meeting up at the folds by one arrow 'up' on the nodes. So I adjusted them which then exposed the layer beneath, requiring the top blue layer to be accordingly adjusted. Always little adjustments to get what you get so beautifully in the first place.
Always fun trying though.

You could also have unioned all of the colored areas and done the dark sides with semi-transparent black rectangles so it's easy to change colors later if you want.

Thanks! Could you show the best and quick way to make a proper drop shadow? So that the top and bottom skewed lines were parallel?

I am using Inkscape 1.0. I did every step per this tutorial. When I get to 11:54 in the video, when I click Intersection, nothing happens. What needs to be done in the newer version for this to work. Thanks. I love your work. I'm also loving the master class too. Keep up the outstanding work.

I have a question:
It is not possible to do a intersection between a path and a group of paths? This would be very handy at minute 6:07 in the video. Or is there any trick, how we can intersect between a path and a group of paths?

Hi Nick,
I observed a issue in Inkscape i.e., when we rotate a line or rectangle, the pixels on the line or rectangle sides/edges becomes some thing different like zigzag or Hacksaw blade edges... How can we solve that problem... Please let me know if there is any work around to get rid of it. Thanks
