What comfort does the doctrine of providence bring to Christians during difficult times?

Spent most of my life in a pentacostal church. Been to the occasional "healing" outreaches.

But not once was I ever convinced that a true (instantaneous) miracle occured. And Lord knows I hoped for it.

But on at least two occasions I witnessed divine Providence that was so far beyond coincidence that I was left shaken to my core with awe of the Lord.
