The weekly planning course is excellent, compliments the time sector system perfectly. It allows you to concentrate on the week ahead and tweaking the day if necessary the night before when surprises occur. Don't know how you keep coming up with excellent ideas but keep going!

Thanks so much for this wisdom. I have found that choosing three priorities for the day keeps me bouncing around the three trying ot figure out which one to do first! I actually think two things will be more manageable for me. And I think I want to start a new habit: one of the first things I want to do when I get to my desk is watch one of your many (shorter) videos. I actually find them inspirational, and they help me nudge myself toward becoming a more productive person. Thank you for your work. It has been helpful to me, and I wish you all the joy and peace of mind you help others discover.

So when Tuesday morning rolls around (when my work week starts), I'll be able to tell myself it's time to Rock n' Roll because I did sit down on Saturday and work out my plan for next week and have my rocks set up in the calendar. So the night before I can jot down what needs doing the next day easily and if something needs to be changed there's still time to make adjustments. Your soda bottle looks fantastic. Very fizzy! Love it!

Hi Carl! Not sure if you will read this, but I wanted to thank you a lot for the time sector system in Todoist. I’ve tried so many task managers in my life, tried Notion where I would spend an hour each day tinkering and fine-tuning cross-relational databases, and almost gave up on trying to get organized.

Your system was the first one that I could implement in a day and start getting things done very quickly, and it’s super intuitive, easy to maintain, and very flexible. Thank you very much for it!

This was an interesting video on using the 2 rocks, 8 pebbles and sand in a bottle concept when planning your day. I've never heard this before. I'm going to give it a try!

I've studied "Big Rocks" many times over the years but have never thought to apply it to daily planning. I suppose the water is Netflix. LOL! Well done. Thank you.

For me, one of the best books on this issue is First Things First by Stephen Covey.

Love this! How do you know how much time to block out each day for your "rocks" and "pebbles" ?

I’ve been watching your videos Carl, very insightful and practical. Hope you can answer my question…..

I am a middle-level manager. Is it necessary to orient my bosses on my time management techniques so that expectations could be aligned? Oftentimes, my plans are disrupted by ad hocs from higher-level managers…

Hello Karl!
Thank you for interesting videos)
I have been trying to combine my calendar and todoist for 3 weeks now, and it turns out with varying success - I constantly still modifying it for myself.

I faced a problem with micro-tasks (call Max, send a letter to Victoria, and others). There are usually 3-4 such cases daily. They are usually not tied to a specific time, but they are tied to a day. I always do not know where to write them down and how to track them. I watched this video and I had a question - if I follow the 2 + 8 system in the Todoist (this tasks are full), and also fix some of the tasks on the calendar (for example, walking the dog, reviewing the day), then where should I write down those micro tasks? Enlarge Todoist? Write in tasks in Google calendar? Or use a third party app? What would you recommend?)
