It feels nice making your own tool and fixtures doesn't it?!😄 Your on the right path. and you use a dial indicator to check. It shows you care. And good enough is not good enough for you if the dial says its bad! That means your serious, and on your way to being a pro. I hope you can acquire all the tools and machines you need to be a great accurate engine builder one day. Best wishes, young Mr/Mrs Ferrari. Ps by the way, "diesel fuel pump rebuilding" is BIG money 🤑, and the pumps are not too huge, size like a 400cc engine or less. Perhaps just look into pump repair, it might be a good way to fund the speed part of your shop and pay all the bills first! you dont have to be a diesel engine shop either, just pumps if you wanted...or whatever. its your life .😋

When I did my engineering apprenticeship in the 70's we were told our eyes are accurate within 2 thousands of an inch. We machined things by eye and checked with guages and what we were taught was true.

Dang! That was smooth. Nice work. I’m learning how to do this so I can save money when rebuilding engines. Figure a rod will be 3/4 the price of a brand new crankshaft

Pretty good to get it within a tenth of a MM by eye!. I used to assemble 2 stroke 3 piece cranks.. and it was never easy!

I was taught to scribe a couple of lines across the flywheels with a set square the re-align them with a mallet and you were 99% there.

After I seen the hammer come out I felt pretty confident to do this on my own now😂

Так на 3, метки нужны, линию чертить, при сборке идеально кондуктор, да пластину в размер между щек, центровку или балансировку называйте как хотите в центрах и два индикатора часовых, в молодости на Яву перебирал допуск биения цапфт 0, 02-0, 03 сотки, а волос человека в среднем 0, 06, дерзайте от этого зависит вибрации, долговечность подшипников
