Warriors failed miserably on their young players this season. It's not just Kuminga, who last year was compared to be a young Kobe by many analysts, but also Wiseman, Poole, Moody, all of whom took a step backwards, even compared to themselves last season. It's probably the first time that Golden States look so bad in player development, something they've been widely credited for.

GP2 took his minutes and has the trust of Kerr and the veterans. Its baffling on the surface cuz kuminga has all the natural talent to excel at the "dunker spot" yet GP2 still better at the moment. Id say the big differences between these 2 players is maturity, experience and straight up hustle.

Kuminga has such a short leashwith kerr. Klay shot 1 for 10 and still played the rest of the game, in the playoffs

Warriors taking a step backwards trading Kuminga. They don’t need a star player, they need role players that outplay cheaper contracts. Probably the reason they want to trade for another pick in the draft

there's a reason steph made that speech in that g7 against kings. he must've been fed up with all the poole/jk complaining. attitude over talent

moody stayed patient and professional, so he was rewarded. he did pretty good too. if only klay didnt disappear, they would have a chance despite the size disadvantage against lakers

If kuminga could develop into a player like Denver's Gordon, he could be an impact player on a championship level team

He was a bad matchup against the Kings, but not seeing the floor against the Lakers is baffling. It can only be that the coaching staff didn't trust him, because they definitely needed his skillset. Sadly, it seems he's too immature to recognize how much work it takes to be great. He'll get there, but probably with some other team.

Kuminga not saying he's gonna become a Star but he definitely has real Star potential.

Kumingas problem is that he expects to be handed his spot while failing to realize he needs to do everything in his power to earn it. He's immature. With time he'll come to understand this. But, I doubt the Warriors are going to waste Curry's remaining 2-3 years waiting on Kuminga to mature. He and Poole are gone.

Trading Him would be the dumbest Move ever 🤦‍♂️

The Warriors mismanagement of Kuminga and Wiseman and what they've allowed Green to do to this team is utterly appalling.

Imo Kuminga is not a trade prospect. He needs to be playing. I did not agree with Coach Kerr's reasoning for not playing Kuminga this playoffs and I absolutely think he could have givin them looks that other guys on the team just couldn't have, so in a way he SHOULD be upset with not playing. I believe that if the Warriors are really considering trading him because he isn't being utilized, then Steve Kerr has to go. This team CAN NOT move forward without a young core of guys supporting it and if Kerr can't utilize and develope these these young guys, then I'm sorry to Steph, Klay and Dray, but he gotta go. Thats where I stand with it.

Trading JK seems to be more of a mistake than not.

I just don't see anyone in this draft being as good as what I'd project Kuminga to become, other than Wemby and possibly Scoot. Kuminga is still 20...

Warriors need to keep JK, and trade Jordan-P. Will give them a better option with a healthy GP2 and Wiggs available the whole season...
Poole is the one that needs to go

It's really not rocket science. They wouldn't trade Kuminga for a higher draft pick this year because they intend to draft that player they would do it because that pick (presumably top 10 is what they would be aiming for) would then be part of a trade package to reshape the roster.

But if they are really going to ride and die with the core then Kuminga will have to go soon anyway even if they don't trade him now because they can't afford to keep him unless they start shedding salary quickly.
A lot of dubs fans don't like to admit it but Dray and Klay are now the anchors weighing this team down. Bloated contracts and bloated roles on the team that they are no longer capable of living up to. They still have value just not what their salaries and minutes would indicate they should. If Klay is still the number 2 option on this team going into next season then put a fork in this team because they are done.

kuminga is already potential talent, dun get why you want another uncertain potential talent
it makes more sense if they trade kuminga for veteran role players

I heard he didnt play in the playoffs because he was asking more playtime and coach didnt like that

As far as I'm concerned, kuminga is the future!!! Kerr is killing him!!! He should be untouchable, he should be playing alongside looney because the team doesn't have a true bigman, and we dropped the Ball by not bringing in cousins who was at home watching.

Warriors didnt trade Wiseman because they were all in Steph timeline they traded him because he was a BUST making 10m a year. There is no Wiseman timeline. He will be out of league in a couple years or a minimum contract bench player at best scenario
