Those other people are basically deemed to be “resuscitated” and not “resurrected.” Jesus alone was resurrected

Jesus is the only person to ressurect HIMSELF.

John 10:18--No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord.I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again.

It’s kind of refreshing to see a misunderstanding based on an actual intellectual difference vs a conclusion first cherdypicked verses after argument

It's important to clearly define what terms mean. Otherwise there is equivocation and people end up talking past each other.

We believe that Jesus is the only person to resurrect from the dead by HIS OWN power into a body that will never die. Unlike Lazarus or the widow’s son (both the one raised by Elijah and by Jesus).

Thanks for the clarification. Your the reason why I came back to Christianity from Agnosticism.

The distinction often made is we call those who will die again raised from the dead rather than resurrected

I was dead and was revived. I am still getting old and will still die someday. Jesus still lives. He will live till the end of eternity.

An interesting fact is that science fiction author Walter Miller’s novel “A Canticle for Leibowitz” has a character with an inexplicable long life span being in each of the three time periods spanning 1800 years, this character is eventually revealed to be Lazarus raised from the dead by Christ who will wander the Earth until his return

Jesus is the only person to resurrected Himself under His own authority and power. He laid His life and then took it back up.

If you're thinking 'resurrection' in the clinical, medical sense, then refer to all the people Jesus brought back from the dead.

All those other people eventually died again despite being "resurrected." Jesus is the only one who was resurrected and has never died again, He is still living.

The tombs also were opened. And many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised, and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many. (Matt. 27:52–53)

There have been lots of Medical resuscitations over history, and no Christian would deny it.

Wow, thanks man. I've been a Christian for 37 years and I've stumbled with this one for a long time. Lazarus was clearly resurrected but not in the sense of the Jewish glorified resurrection you explained. Thank you

Thanks, you are an inspiration to those who have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Most Christians believe that Mary is also now in her glorified body, either following her death and a special resurrection or having been glorified at the end of her earthly life.

I like in "The Green Mile" where John Coffee resurrected that mouse. Such a cool movie.

Those in my circles have preferred the term revived, but resuscitated works too. resuscitated sounds so clinical, as if what happened to Lazarus was not a miracle, like Jesus just did CPR on him.

Uh … according to the Bible, there were many people (saints) that rose from the dead and wandered through the city . Apparently, raising from the dead wasn’t so uncommon . Yet not one secular historian of that time even bothered to record in writing such an extraordinary event ….except Christians of course. What does that tell ya 😐
