I have to say thank you for making such a thorough video to walk people through how to create this. This is a gamechanger of a video and I'm sure it wasn't easy to make.

I’m a Japanese and learn English.
Your Japanese is so good! Unbelievable!
Such a very difficult language you study and master, that makes me motivated to study English.
I hope you will become more fluent in Japanese

もっと日本語が上手になることを祈っています。

I'm only 1 minute into the video and I just had to thank you for all the work you do. I've been trying to learn Japanese on and off for many years now and I should be fluent by now, I'm hard on myself for not sticking to it like I should but with videos like this I'm hopeful to finally learn the language. ありがとうございます。明けましておめでとうございます。

One tool that's always overlooked, also in this video it seems, for reading (light) novels is ttu Reader and its wrapper app Immersion Reader. Immersion Reader especially creates anki cards on a simple click based on Yomitan's definitions, and in the end you can export the Anki deck and import it to your anki.

That was an incredible compilation on tools and examples covered in this video. Great work. I use Yomitan, asbplayer DeepL, YouTube and Anki for French sentence mining one card at a time using few clicks and a hot key. You video is amazing at giving a solution to any process you could want to sentence mine an Anki card. Big Up Sir 👍🏽

Other tools I would like to mention, which aren’t included in the video (at least i think it is so, if I didn’t completely missed it)

1. Mokuro - to process all manga pages at once, and have selectable text directly on in a webpage. You can use mokuro reader to load and use your “.mokuro” files. You can also easily add screenshot of a manga to latest card with a double-click. There are already a bunch of preprocessed manga available as torrent file. Or you can process any other you want (pairs nicely with ai image upscaler of your choice)

2. Yomininja - for me it’s much more pleasant experience for accessing non-selectable text of any kind. I had need using it for games and YouTube, where Japanese subtitles are baked into video. Also used a little bit for manga, but mokuro made process so much more enjoyable.

Btw, I currently don’t use Migaku, even though have subscription by your referral link. Because it works poorly with mokuro. And I currently mainly try to immerse trough manga
