The key is having a cool, patient instructor like Josh and flying somewhere you like and feel comfortable. I actually quit because my instructor was a grumpy, crusty old man and the flying club and field I joined everybody acted bossy and bickered.
I'm starting over after 5 years and hopefully this time will be fun. Thanks for such great info in this series.

I'm brand new to RC planes and your videos have been very helpful! Thanks. I do a lot of motorsports and the phrase "When in doubt, throttle out." means the exact opposite of the way you seem to use it. We use it to mean give it throttle and ride out of the problem.

Fantastic info. I've actually learned most of this with a Dx6i and Phoenix Simulator on my computer...I almost never crash now and I can try out all kinds of different planes.
...but real sky will be different, I know.
