I am consistently delighted with how candid Carmack is allowed to be in these talks. Samsung won’t even allow him to say how many gearvrs shipped, but fb lets him openly admit embarrassing aspects of existing products and failures that otherwise are not public. It really shows how much respect he carries within the org and the community.

Wow, I was very surprised at how engaging Carmack was in his talk. I didn't even realize I'd listened to 1 and a half hour!!
