A signature is an ego gratification thing. I have met famous musicians, talked to them & ended up having long conversations with them because I spoke to them as an equal human & they responded in kind (Goyte, Powderfinger, Something for Kate). I hung out with Wally (Gotye) for 3 hours - we talked excitedly about music production because I met him on equal footing hence, he enjoyed a real conversation. I never asked for an autograph (or anything) & I have never forgot that I had a great conversation with a musician I admired.
Forget the signature & enjoy the experience!
