Coleman BT200X Mini Bike Build Series Ep.#1, Overview [4K]

I got lucky and found a Coleman BT200X! I guess checking FB Marketplace every day finally paid off. I got a pretty good deal on a brand new BT200X that was only about an hour away from my house. It was loosely "put together" by the guy who was selling it, never ridden and no gas or oil ever put in it. He bought a pallet full of them at an auction apparently before covid and then went the NC. Then he got back (to PA) and put them together and put a bunch on FB Marketplace. I saw the ad 12 min after he posted it later in the day. By the next morning all were sold. Not sure how many he had but at least 7 or 8 that I saw in FB.

Nice vid lots of great info much appreciated. Question if as you said you are not into building them up to make more power for going faster or climbing hills why do you buy & do the work of swapping in another Honda clone motor? Is something wrong with the existing clone motor other than being 16cc smaller?

Bike maintenance & other upgrades aside here is what I did on my BT200X & results for $50ish (carb springs n header) then like you the CVT.

On flat ground at 220 pounds with 15 psi in tires & box stock, gps 20 mph. Remove soldered screw, free 25 mph. Drilled hole in throttle linkage arm to move spring, free 32 mph. Remove or zip tie governor, added non epa version of carb with size 38 jet, 18 pound valve springs & header, 38 mph. Could have stopped here being now fun to ride & still kid friendly. Then added CVT for Coleman, 45 mph plus other benefits. (Great mod)

The TC you just got has the 5mm key? Now that the prices are down I was thinking about another for my stock bike. Would rather have a 3/16" key. The buyer I got my other one from still has the higher price I originally paid. That one has a 3/16" key.
