FYI... Love y'all for checking out my videos! Means a lot to me when I see folks enjoying some of the goofy content that I'm cranking out.

The foam oozing out of the head looks a lot like the effect they use in the comics when Deadpool's head gets cut off, that could make for a cool prop

keep it warm, hold the can upside down, tinfoil or tape off what you don't want covered with foam,   Thanks for the videos, I really like them

If you kept the excess foam coming out of the bottom of the head and let it dry you could have painted it to look gory like Deadpool had just been decapitated and that would have been a cool model to have

I used to use this stuff to fit windows, if you get a spray bottle with water and spray some on the foam after it gets to where you want it will help stop it expanding any further.

I have used expanding foam before and yes definitely mask it off and if you are using pieces that have been glued together be careful when filling because some brands are expanding foam create a lot more pressure than others.

Uncle Jessy's list of important things to protect:
1. Clothes
2. Hair
3. Eyes
4. Hands

Not important apparently:
1. Face (you can get a clear face shield for cheap)
2. Lungs (respirator)
3. The actual print he's working on (though he noticed afterwards he should have masked it)

Hahahaha. Love your videos Jessy! Just having a bit of fun. Not trying to be mean.

For a denser foam fill it the same but cover the opening with some wood with a quarter inch hole drilled in that way it causes a little back pressure and air bubbles are smaller hence a more dense foam there is also a cheaper bulk option if you go to the fence post section they do a bag full of the stuff for setting fence posts which would probably fill the whole model ☺

Why doesn´t this guy has at least a half million subs?

I have used this for a life size FF7 Buster Sword and it kind of heat up a little bit while it was curing and warp the surface of the sword a little bit. I also think this needs to be done in layers to give time for the bottom foam to expand.

Great idea there! Did the expanding foam add any kind of bulging or bowing to the original shape of the head? PS. That bust is awesome, the paint work on that one is good!

I'm thinking of squirting this inside an object to be used as a keychain for a boat key. I'm assuming the foam will give it buoyancy but I see some testing in my future.

When you use this foam spray, you should spray a little water on it between layers. That will make the foam expand even more and more even.
Also if you start spraying with these can's, you can't stop until your finished. This stuff cures so fast that if you stop spraying, it'll solidify in the spraying tube. That is what happened with the first can.

Did the underside (neck) bulge out because of pressure and/or heat from the foam?

always read how much it expands in volume and calculate.
but dang that worked gooood!

All my Star Wars heads are 6/5/4 on layers and sliced with S3d. Very sturdy and strong, but takes a lot longer to print. No inside supports except for eye and mouth area if needed. But if you print thin, this would be a great idea.

Gloves are important. If the stuff dries on your skin it'll be there for about a week as a dark smudge.

Seems like a great idea! Very light weight stuff too which is a bonus!

I added expanding foam to some super thin prints I did a while ago did a great job making it more solid
