Candice is supposed to be the last one on earth to help Sylar. She’s very cynical and hates the world, never really caring about anyone’s wellbeing.I guess the writers didn’t know what to do with her character especially after they brought in Elle to be the new agent in season 2, so they killed her off.

She really just agreed to travel to the middle of nowhere, alone with unrestrained psychotic serial killer, didn't use her power to hide her real location from him setting up a decoy for him to assault instead and when he creepily approached her after angry outburst simply stood there like an idiot. This woman puts way more trust in her ability to control guys with the power of boners than I put in anything in my life.
