SawStop is finally here!!!!! The saw that has saved fingers for over 20 years

Sawstop saws are coming!!! I have had the first two sawstop saws here in the UK and Europe to try, in this video we look at the larger Sawstop Jobsite saw, we look at the features and functionality of the saw and then we do an actual activation of the brake.

In the next Episode we change the brake cartridge and blade and do another Activation

I've seen so many videos on these saws. But this is easily the best. Seeing Robin both nervous and excited in equal levels, and then the very genuine "WOW" when the blade disappeared. Brilliant stuff!

The location of that storage compartment seems like it could be annoying if you’ve got your fence set. You’d have to move it every time to get to it?

Amazing safety device though. All electric saws should employ this technology.

Hello Robin I've used this Saw for a couple years here in the US and also traded recently to the compact 10 because it's a lower profile & fits under a custom top: they're both quality saws however the big caveat to that is no saw these days is built with a lot of quality there's far too much plastic and in both of the Saw stop versions you're discussing the motor is far too weak for any dense lumber, YET
Great technology- will save so many injuries for novice users

I used an early version of this in my younger days in a factory, we had a machine in-house for sawing off edges and they converted it to a finger saver in my time there. The demo was mind blowing, they used a carrot and it took a small nick from it. Incredible technology!

This is a great video, and I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that Robin is a fantastic outlet for the release of this much anticipated tool in the uk and Europe, due to his high standards etc. But let me draw your attention to 9 mins and 30 seconds of this video. Go back and watch it again and listen to Robin. He says something like “quite often I’m grabbing it there and finishing it off”.

Hear me out. Hear me out. I have a theory that he likes to drop these little innuendos into his videos and play them straight faced.

I have no other evidence to hand to support this theory, but surly I am not the only one who has noticed it??

Anyone else who has noticed this get in touch and we can go though the back catalogue and find these little one liners.

Or better yet, if I’m right… Robin, confess! 😂

Hi Robin, when I watched this technology on this Old house, they were just as nervous as you. I've had minor injuries on saws, this will save so many injuries. Love all your videos.

Recommend you go through the calibration process with your blade's vertical setting (make sure the blade is perpendicular to the table top). Mine said 'zero' on the hand wheel right out of the box, but it was actually one degree off vertical. Made a huge difference with both the sound of the blade and the ease of cutting. Congrats on the purchase!
