I Coded a Minecraft Update in 24 HOURS

Minecraft has added a handful of new features to the game in Minecraft 1.16, Minecraft 1.17 and Minecraft 1.18, which has really enhanced the play experience in the mountains. But that got me thinking... what if I added even MORE features to the mountains?

I challenged myself to code a #minecraft mountain update #addon in 24 hours.

1:57 The iceologer should drop dense ice blocks. These blocks should be called Dense Ice and its texture would look like block of ice that the iceologer summons to attack players from above. Dense Ice should be harder and have more blast resistance than any other already-existing ice blocks but less slippery. You should put it in a crafting table with a stick under it to craft an ice mace which should work like a regular mace (which is added to Minecraft in June 2024. Although the ice mace would have less durability than the regular mace, but it would allow you to kill a yeti while holding it. If you put 3 Dense Ice blocks horizontally and 3 redstone dust under them in a crafting table, you get a freezing pad (inspired by a horror game titled Granny). It’s a new block that would shape like a pressure plate and would freeze what mob steps on it (even players/except polar bear, stray, ender dragon, and wither) once the mob is frozen, it can’t move or do anything, it just stays in place. To unfreeze it, you need to place any light source nearby a frozen mob. If a blaze steps on a freezing pad, then it would die rather than being frozen in ice. If a mob stays frozen for too long, then it can die. A freezing pad could be disabled with redstone. An iceologer would also have a 5% chance to drop its sweater. The sweater would be called an Iceologer Sweater and while wearing it and holding an ice mace, you would be able to summon blocks of ice to attack any mob from above.

Huh. I think maybe you should think about renaming “peak stone” to Permafrost; it not only looks similar to ice, but Permafrost IRL is basically a really, REALLY frozen version of ice, practically being as hard as a rock. Hope you consider this!

Other than that, this is really interesting! I guess you could say it’s PEAK!

Another note, I think the Yeti shouldn’t be immortal; instead, it should have a GIMMICK. What about, hear me out, 2 things can harm the yeti; Warmth can naturally make the Yeti weaker, slowing it down and weakening its attacks. The other? Its fur is so thick it acts like armor; use Shears to cut off its fluffy coat and expose the beast. While this does make it less susceptible to heat, it removes the thick fur and thus allows players to attack it; although, it still is a tank. To communicate this, when you hit it with it’s fur coat, it should emit white fur particles, communicating you aren’t hitting the Yeti but it’s fur.

maybe the iceolager could drop an ice wand, that lets you summon the ice spell used by the iceolager. if hit by the ice spell, you would get the freezing effect. we could also enchant it to reduce the spell's cooldown and increase the damage done by the ice spell
