For fraudsters, fear is an easy resource to exploit. During the coronavirus pandemic, organized crime rings trafficking in counterfeit products take advantage of people who are afraid have risen sharply. The criminals advertise what they call miracle drugs against the virus, or sell poorly produced protective masks for enormous profit. Counterfeit Gucci handbags have now been replaced by fake medical gear advertised to protect the vulnerable against COVID-19.

The NRA didn't have to push anything, the market preceded them by a large margin the moment the governors announced they were going to release prisoners from the jails. While violent crime may have dropped, which is generally opportunistic or spontaneous acts, property crime has risen by a large margin in NY and elsewhere.

The funniest thing was all the 1st time buyers in California finding out that there were waiting periods to take possesion....even more chagrined to learn that these were the very things that they themselves had voted for.
