Coronavirus cases are down in China but rising in the West:
China is reporting another drop in the number of new cases of Coronavirus infections. But the death toll in the country where the Covid-19 Coronavirus began is now nearing 3,000.
Elsewhere Iran's death toll has risen to 92, the highest outside China.
The EU has reported the first confirmed case of the virus at its administrative centre in Brussels. Italy has announced it will close all schools and colleges across the country for two weeks.
The German government had banned the export of medical gear and adjusted a national travel advisory to warn of an "elevated quarantine risk" associated with cruise ship travel.

Its funny that the CDC and America were so quick to critize China for thier handling of the virus. The states had ample time to get prepared and they really dropped the ball big time.

We, in India, will drop like flies . Tea stalls, roadside food vendors, disco, pubs, offices, schools, colleges, clubs, gyms, religious places, marriage ceremonies, markets, public transport (rail & bus) -- just look at these "wildfire" factors .

Lady in Tampa came home from Italy through N.Y., back to Tampa. The news article states that she informed New York that she was coming from Italy and she felt very ill. They had no idea what to do with her and sent her on the plane to Tampa. She's in self quarantine with confirmed covid. She's in her twenties. She had high fever.

Taiwan and Singapore have successfully contained it by doing aggressive early testing and quarantining as necessary, but on a limited basis. So containment is/was possible. Unfortunately, many Europen countries and the US are beyond containment - tooo slow in identifying infected persons. They missed the boat.

Just got back from an Italy study abroad, and JFK literally did nothing to check for Covid. They just asked me if I had been to China and I said no. They let me go without any further testing. Which is crazy.

Here in the U. S., the federal government and CDC are very incompetent in handling the coronavirus crisis. They had more than a month to get ready. Yet they're still very unprepared.

They don't test the people who come into the country. They have to send all the test kits to CDC in Atlanta to get the results, which takes days. All stores are out of face masks of any kinds (including masks for painting), and of all hand sanitizers. Many people are hoarding toilet papers.

In San Antonio (Texas), CDC let a woman out of the quarantine. She went out shopping at a big mall and eat outside for 12 hours. Later, CDC realized the woman was tested positive and had to bring her back. The mall closed for a deep cleaning and the city declared an emergency. Who knows how many people she has infected now.
