OMG! You have no idea how beloved Carole King is! Almost everyone owned her album Tapesty! Her music is the soundtrack of our lives and those tunes are so important to music. Plus, she wrote songs for many artists. She gave Aretha Franklin the song "Natural Woman". "Chains" for the Beatles, "I'm Into Something Good" Herman's Hermits, "Don't Bring Me Down" Animals and many many more. This woman is a icon of music.

Carol King is the single most important female figure in music history.
She is the greatest female songwriter. Her early work with Gerry Goffin includes the classics: "Up In The Roof, " The Loco-Motion", "Will You Love Me Tomorrow".
Her album "Tapestry" is one of the landmark recordings of The 20th Century. It includes: "I Feel The Earth Move", " Natural Woman", So Far Away", and "You've Got A Friend". It changed the musical landscape by issuing in the Singer/ songwriter craze of the 70's. It was the blueprint for early 70's music, and is one of the top 20 albums of all-time. It is a masterpiece of mindboggling propertions.
Her influence and importance CANNOT be overstated.

She’s playing the piano while she’s singing, and her songwriting is magical. Please try “I Feel the Earth Move” and “Natural Woman”

It's not just Carole's voice, or her fantastic lyrics, it's also that she's the one playing that great piano while singing that you were enjoying too Amber. The entire Tapestry album is a classic, even Aretha covered You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman from this album. Every song from the album is a gem.

I was 15 when Tapestry was released, and it was the soundtrack of my life, that year. This song is the song I can close my eyes when it plays and I’m back to that time.

TAPESTRY is the foundational underpinning of all singer-songwriters. I'm 70 and this album is at the absolute center of my musical experiences over the past 50 years.

Carole King is one of the most prolific songwriters of all time. Her list of solo hits and hits written with and for others is beyond compare. Time to put her into your regular rotation!

She wrote or co-wrote almost 120 top 40 songs, who knows how many that charted at the lower reaches? Tapestry charted on Billboard’s top 200 sellers for 318 weeks that’s insane. Every single gal I knew in the 70s/80s owned this record so I’d say Carol King is the perfect female friday participant

Really just one of the greatest songs ever written. I always thought it was a very unusual breakup song. Most breakup songs are either an injured party grieving the loss, or an angry party seeking vengeance. Here, she not only knows it's over, she's already accepted it and made her peace with it. All that's left is trying to explain this to the party that hasn't gotten it yet. Highly unique take...

I played that tapestry album to death… Never ever got sick of it. Had it transferred to a CD and still play it, one of the greatest albums of all time and of course Carole King is why

Carole King leaves a massive, massive imprint on musical history. Seriously. Her Tapestry album was ground breaking. There is soo much good music on it. And she doesn't just sing. She writes like a boss., fyi it's Tap estry. (its a woven rug, making a picture which was very famous in the Middle Ages)

Carol king wrote songs for so many artists because she thought her own voice sucked. She finally agreed to make an album of her own, “Tapestry”, which was a huge success! Every song is wonderful. 👍

My middle brother used to play this song and the album "Tapestry" all of the time back in '71 and I think this song was "Song of the Year" as well!

Per Songfacts This was released as the B-side to "I Feel the Earth Move." After a few weeks of continuous airplay with "I Feel the Earth Move, " many DJs all over the States decided to give "It's Too Late" an equal amount of airplay. Soon, it came to the point where everyone preferred "It's Too Late, " which ended up topping the Sales were later gold-certified by the RIAA. I feel the Earth Move also topped the charts. Billboard ranked "It's Too Late" and its fellow A-side, "I Feel the Earth Move", as the No. 3 record for 1971.
