She makes you feel like you're sitting in a room with her and she's singing just for you.

The whole "Tapestry" album is a masterpiece. So much to listen to off of it. "I Feel the Earth Move", "It's Too Late", "So Far Away", "Natural Woman" to name just some of them.

In case no one has said so yet Carole wrote this in response to her friend James Taylor’s song Fire and Rain, about depression, addiction, and the death by suicide of his friend Susann. “I’ve had lonely times when I could not friend …”

Beautiful song, wonderful Carole, writer, singer, musician

I absolutely love Carol King. Singer, songwriter, storyteller; she's the truest triple threat!

Carol started as a songwriter and wrote numerous hits for many of the groups of the 60's before she ever released her own music including: The Chiffons - 'One Fine Day' 1963, The Drifters - 'Up On the Roof' 1963, Dusty Springfield - 'Goin' Back' 1966, The Shirelles - “Will You Love Me Tomorrow” 1960, The Everly Brothers - 'Crying In the Rain' 1962. She was also one of the only women writing in a mostly male dominated field writing out of the Brill Building in New York which was one of the major "hit" factories of the day. Love that you love her - pop music wouldn't be the same without her!

Don't forget not only is she an amazing singer and songwriter, but that is her playing the piano too.

In addition to being 1972's Album of the year, it was ranked number 25 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.

Jay & Amber, you'll love her "I Feel The Earth Move", "So Far Away", "Sweet Seasons" and many more!!!
"I Feel The Earth Move" has a bangin' piano riff right from the start!

Thank you for covering this song by her today. I'm sitting at my desk, eyes closed and thinking of my dear "sunshine" (Cheryl) she unexpectedly passed away in July this year and I'm still overwhelmed with heartache and sadness. That woman knew more about me then anyone else on the face of the earth both good and bad. She saw me at my very worst time in life and shrugged her shoulders and said"if this is your worst, it's not that bad, I'll keep you" this was one of our songs, we had a few over the last 27 years. I will always greatly miss her and that's okay because that's the price you pay to love someone so completely and so perfectly.

She was the commencement speaker when my son graduated Berklee College of Music...it was awesome seeing him shake her hand on his way to get his diploma

Carole, with an “e”, is one of our great songwriters, even before she started singing professionally herself. Met her in person several years ago and she’s amazing.

glad you guys are finally getting to see why we love her so much!! To get an idea how big she was, check out the 2015 Kennedy Center life time achievements awards show, where Carole is one of the recipients and none other than Aretha Franklin salutes her by singing YOU MAKE ME FEEL< LIKE A NATURAL WOMAN, she brought the house down, and Carole loved it.

Tapestry was part of the soundtrack of the 70s. There's no way to overstate how huge it was. The number of times I sat in my room and listened to it the whole way through... Thanks for another great reaction.
