I was at this show and I still have my ticket from that night. It’s eerie how this was just a few days before everything happened.

Fun fact: he won this match and was planned to win the ECW championship and rule the ECW brand for the year

You can tell from his eyes that Benoit needed help.

It's so bizarre that the fans on that arena don't know that it'll be the last time they'll see Chris

Still the most badass theme for one of the most badass wrestlers ever…

You can tell by the look in his eyes, thats somethings going on his mind. I Looks thinkful and kinda unhappy and Spacy aswell. What a tragedy… I loved him.

still got the poster i made for benoit that night. Everytime i walk by it, i can’t help but shed a tear. The eyes never lie, he looks like he planned this out already at that time. RIP chris, nancy, and daniel.

Damn it’s eerie looking back knowing what would very shortly happen

Everyone saying "you can see it in his eyes that he was long gone" but tbh, go look at any entrance Benoit had prior to the tragedy and you'll see thats just his expression. No one, and I mean NO ONE saw this coming! Not even his close friends at the time could've predicted Benoit snapping. I loved Chris, trust me him and Eddie were my favorite wrestlers ever, but the fact is we will never know what happened.

Chris Benoit is still in my childhood memories

Crazy to think at this time he would’ve had the brain of an 80 year old Alzheimer’s patient

You could see it in his eyes, he was just dead inside

After what he did, I didn’t watch anything to do with Chris Benoit for a very long time unless it was a multi man match, but seeing this stuff again recently I just keep on using the word disconnected was and is the way I describe what Chris looks like here certainly vs his overall appearance and vibe from like two years earlier when Eddie was still alive, hate that it led to the deaths of 3 people even if he just committed suicide and that was it he would have still been remembered fondly but taking Nancy and Daniel is what took that respect I had for him away

I watch this match live and I never thought this would be the last time we all see him

‘Mr McMahon would have wanted the show to go on’ Owen hart reference is an ironic touch

He was one hell of a performer Despite of what he did, but I always said as a kid and into my teenage years, he wrestles as if he’s trying to kill you he was just really aggressive in the ring
