When other nations do something humanity doesn't like, the USA stands up and calls them out.
When the USA does things humanity doesn't like, the USA makes excuses and says things like it doesn't recognize the ICC.

If economic sanctions can be put upon Russia for invading and occupying Crimea by the free world, then why can't economic sanctions be put upon Israel for invading and occupying Palestine by the free world?

If some of the Japanese officers after WW2 were convicted of being war criminals for waterboarding people (of which Japan was actually nuked, twice), then how come Bush #2 / Cheney are not being brought to trial as war criminals for authorizing waterboarding people?

Disgraceful. Threatening a court because they want to prosecute you does not make you look innocent. I hope the ICC will not shy away but go on with their work and hold all war criminals accountable

"Domestic judicial systems already hold American citizens to the highest legal and ethical standards."
(Unless your the President of the USA who is trying to and succeeding, in expanding the unitary powers of the Presidency to make themselves King over the USA's democracy.)

Consider also:
To defeat terrorism in this world, one has to also stop being a terrorist.

"Rightious Might": Who's 'rightiousness' though? And 'Might does not always make right', otherwise, let bullies be bullies in school and mass shootings would be okay then too.

I liked the part where Bugs Bunny put a carrot in his musket, & it blew up in Yosemite Bolton’s face.

I am wondering, is the 28 thumbs up to 42 thumbs down a function of the presentation by the Washington Post, or a reaction to John Bolton?

Incredible effect on certain sorts of people speaking to a sympathetic audience: that they feel in no way obliged to provide any reasons whatsoever for why anybody should accept a single word they say! 😂

I think a global ideal in which the people of all societies are supplied a life of wellness and freedom is a goal that all liberated people should strive to support. With that said, as a citizen of the U.S. I do not support submitting to a global coalition such as the ICC. Such actions weaken U.S. sovereignty. I completely agree with the U.S. administration's rejection of being subject to the ICC, and it's explicit push back against the organization. Other countries are already withdrawing. Experts believe that Kenya, Namibia, and Uganda may soon follow in withdrawing from the court, while South Africa is still committed to withdrawing, leading to a mass African exodus. President Rodrigo Duterte announced on March 14, 2018 that the Philippines will start to submit plans for its withdrawal from the ICC. I for one am for a world that DOES NOT include a world governing court such as the ICC. If the U.S. judicial system is flawed or if it is corrupt it is OUR duty as citizens to fix it through our rights and power as citizens. As for undeveloped nations that seek to develop a governing system that promotes liberty and justice, they should have the freedom to work toward establishing such a system through the will of the people. Such a system, if it promotes liberty and justice, will include the implementation of a justice system that prosecutes international crimes of genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes. Handing even a sliver of our sovereignty to a global coalition to enforce law is a slap in the face to the millions and millions of people who have given their lives and continue to give their lives to SUPPORT America's sovereignty.
