you should make a video on how to actually set up the turbo in the esc to only turn on after 90% throttle

Its not disabling the turbo because its at 94%, its actually just that turbo only applies at full throttle. The HW esc considers anything above 94% to be the same as full throttle. You can confirm it by the solid green light on the esc.

The "big difference" you see when dropping to 94% is the persistence of PWM drive freq vs full duty battery voltage since you're no longer ever at full throttle. Then on top of that yes turbo is now disabled. But even with turbo off, it makes a large difference being "on drive freq" vs not.
