I'm 46 and my teenage Haro Master is still hanging from my ceiling in the shop. Mowed alot of grass for that bike. Priceless memories 🚴

Many of us gear heads started our love of "machinery in motion" on bicycles.

The Redline is my favorite in your collection. You were apparently quite skilled at jumping. You were already my favorite car guy but you just went up a few notches.

My all time favorite footage of Chip. The passion he showed talking about the bikes and the story about his bike shop, with the pics of him on his OG bike, classic. The way he talked about being “honored” to have them in his collection, respect. I’m a nostalgic and sentimental person, so the fact that he reproduced his OG Redline, hit me in the feels. We are lucky to have been able to watch him over the years. Much love and respect to Chip and his fam.

Oh My God, That Redline!! Me and a friend saved up all summer to go halves on one of those. That bike was awesome!! We were 13 and the bike shop we bought it from is still there! Bikesmith Pacific Beach.

I'm 49 and walking out to my garage and seeing my BMX collection hanging from the rafters makes me smile ear to ear. You never stop loving the things that brought you so much joy in your youth. For that same reason I have a love of cassette walkmans. All you needed in the early 80's was your bike, a walkman and you were set. Video games were for days where it was too crappy to be outside doing what you really wanted to do and that was thrashing around on your BMX. Just think, our generations punishment was being grounded from going outside. Todays punishment is making your kids go outside. I would absolutely love to own 3 of the pride and joys from my younger days. A Skyway TA that was white with blue anodized crankset and rims, my beloved Mongoose Decade Pro with Pro class rims that was stolen right out of the front yard and lastly the pink Hutch Trick Star. This old guy still loves them to this day.

As someone who works in the bicycle industry but is also a car guy, I really appreciate this video! Thanks for a peek into your personal collection 🙌

In the early 80s I got a Blue Max for christmas. Single mom raising me and back then this bike was not cheap. This memory of my bike days was the best. I had so much fun with this bike. Thank You mom for all of your sacrifices. We miss you and I love you.

Redline, PK Ripper, Schwinn sting, Webco, Diamondback, CW, etc. Loved them all. I raced bmx as a kid in Florida. Some of the best times of my life. Thanks for sharing.

And he ended it with a Thank You.
Youre welcome Chip. But about all I did was watch your TV shows and bought a couple magazines.. oh and I bought the cars of Overhaulin book, mainly because it had some of your renderings. But I say thank you as you taught me to draw cars in a way I never thought possible. You've given thousands people something. Inspiration, and we appreciate it.

As another 50 year old, I still have my 1984 Profile, which I bought back in the day. Since it has been restored, it sits in my lounge room. It is my most prized possession.
