Are you prepared to release a shock victim?

Escape strap is a rescue device designed for electrical hazards. The safety standby person (or first responder) can use the built-in non-conductive Kevlar rope to rescue a shock or arc flash victim.

Also available in a vest, the escape strap is more effective, practical and easier to manage compared to a rescue hook. The escape strap doesn't require testing and is much easier to use versus a 6' or 8' pole with a hook at the end. The standard length is 10’ extended from the back of the arc flash suit or vest.

Oberon Escape Strap advantages vs. a Rescue Hook:
1. Ability to wear a rescue device, like a drag rescue device (DRD).
2. Easily transported (fits in your PPE kit bag).
3. Never requires retesting.
4. Practical solution for both Shock and Arc Flash rescue.
5. Easier to operate and requires very little maintenance.
