That point about fogging glasses is very true. I'm not an electrician, I'm a welder. I like wearing an air fed helmet not only because of the fume protection but because it stops my safety glasses fogging. It's safer and more comfortable.

It sounded like you were stating you are not required to wear hearing protection or safety glasses under the hood. These are both required with the hood as well as the face shield and balaclava.
