This is a update and a solution for my last #video about the #KillerApp #RemoteDesktopViewer and haw it was not working in #Linux mint 19.3 #LinuxMint19 I have to copy and past some stuff into the command line but it works.

With Vinarge you can have several connections open simultaneously, bookmark your servers thanks to the favourites support store the passwords in the GNOME keyring, and brows the network to look for vnc servers.

Supported protocols are VNC, SSH, and RDP.

Remmina is a remote desktop client written in GTK+, aiming to be useful for system administrators and travellers, who need to work with lots of remote computers in front of either large monitors or tiny netbooks. Remmina supports multiple network protocols in an integrated and consistent user interface. Currently RDP, VNC, SPICE, NX, XDMCP, SSH and EXEC are supported.

Remmina is released in separated source packages:

Thanks man for an informative video that has helped me finally connect. On the Mint 19.3 side, I installed Remmina RDP Plugin which installs the Remmina Remote Desktop Client. I then install the VNC plugin for it and then reboot to get it to see the plugin. At this time, I can connect to my Windows machines running TightVNC. I spent like 2 days combing the forums and Google on ways to connect to the Mint 19.3 machine. This x11vnc is simple enough for me to get it working. I did have to turn off the firewall to get it to connect so you have to open up a rule on the Firewall to allow it through when the Firewall is on.

To get x11vnc working. Using windows ultra vnc to connect: I selected ultra vnc and clicked start. I kept getting connection refused messages. To fix that right click on the x11vnc icon on your task bar and select propertes. Check the Accept Connections check box and click apply. You should now be able to connect to x11vnc. (Not sure what the firewall settings should be. Mine was disabled on both systems while testing. Turning mine back on again now. I leave that config to you.)

Is it super hard to make it work on two different internet connections (not LAN)? I've tried to make work for 9 hrs now without luck. All google pages read and tried without any success. It is connection from Mint to Ubuntu.

Do you know any good editing software to cut and edit these or way to convert recorded sattelite tv in HD .ts files in Linux to some useful format without any loss of quality?

I have a software called DVB edit.
Very good software to convert and edit SD quality transportstreams to standard mpeg without any loss. Even burn a DVD with same quality as it was broadcasted.
But it does not work with HD quality videos.

Could you do a video in future?
