I went to the Holy Land a year ago and I asked several questions about fig trees in the bible, and also about Nathaniel and the fig tree. No one could answer me. I was frustrated. Now, the Lord has answered, at least one question, through this video. Thank you Jesus and thank you professor Curtis Mitch. Deo gratias.

Thank you... I am studying Nathanael with my Autistic son. I want him to know that Jesus sees us even when we feel alone, and He doesn't mind us speaking candidly... I'm helping him find kindred Spirits in the Bible...

I have a master's degree in theology and didn't know this, which just goes to show that you never stop learning spiritual truth. This will help me in my sermon prep. Thanks and blessings.

I belong to the Assyrian Church of the East established by St. Thomas and our forefathers have documentation that Nathaniel was actually a baby during Herod’s killing of the babes. It is church tradition that his mother hid him under a fig tree to save him from Herod’s army. So when Christ says this it’s a fact that no one else knows and thus he believes that only God would know this.

If you watch The Chosen it is portrayed so beautifully how Jesus saw him under the fig tree. How Nathaniel went with Philip and he told Nathaniel to COME AND SEE! He knew Jesus immediately from his seeing him under the fig
One of the very best scenes in THE CHOSEN!
