I think the scene of Nathaniel asking God "Do you see me!?" is probably one of the most powerful moments in Season 2 for me. Edited to say I promise I typed the comment before I heard Bishop Barron say the exact same thing, ha!

These discussions I feel should happen after every episode. A Catholic bishop, a rabbi, and a Protestant minister all together putting forth different perspectives. As a Catholic, I love it that Bishop Barron is on these discussions. He is just brilliant. God bless Dallas Jenkins.

Nathaniel’s story is one of if not my most favorite so far! I cannot tell you how many times I have watched that episode simply to watch Nathaniel’s redemption and surrender to Christ!

As someone who has more than once in anguish prayed for their own death, very accurate depiction of a Mental Breakdown .

Thus particular scene is absolutely hands down my new favorite that I watch over and over and over and over and cry like a baby as he is correct it does get into your soul. That young man is so talented and he truly has the love of Jesus in him!!!

This scene of Nathanael failing and asking God if He sees him, touched the deepest part of my soul. Thank you! I relate to this!

That scene is one of the most relatable moment. We have innumerable 'under the fig tree' moments asking God 'Do you see me????
And all the while He's there....

Can't wait for these roundtables to be released in the S2 Special Edition DVD this spring! They are so theologically informative and add so much to watching the episodes discussed. This chat is particularly special because of Dallas's own story of how The Chosen was "birthed".

I had this exact question on my mind every time I watched this episode! This show is getting me through some very dark and lonely times. I hope you read this Dallas. This show is definitely divinely inspired. Just like the song All My Favorite Colors... My sister's and my brothers...
Also for anyone hoping for unity under Christ I find I learn a lot from the rabbi with the YouTube channel The Jewish Jesus.

I cried with Nathaniel under the fig tree, and cried again when he knew Jesus saw him. It was a beautiful scene.

Favorite moments from Season 2 are definitely from that episode...

- do you see me?
- come and see
- I saw you.

Wow.

I always wondered what Nathaniel prayed under that tree on that day. Must have been a good one. This is a acceptable visual of what might have happened. Good work.
