This island is not too far from the coast of Itanhaém town, Sao Paulo State. The name of this island is Ilha da Queimada Grande (big burn island) but people call it snake island as well. It's prohibited staying there but when a boat of the fishers broke during the storm on the sea, they arrived in this island and sometimes snakes bit the fishers.

The snakes do not disturb human...why should human disturb them.Leave them alone in their homeland.

Lol  the way people talk about it I figured the island would literally be covered with snakes, as in every other step you would be stepping on one.

I feel like I'm the only person ever who's sitting here thinking "Oh man, look at those beautiful snakes!" while also being sensible enough to NOT try and keep one as a pet. Trying to keep a venomous snake as a PET is just plain dumb.

Note: I am NOT insulting people who professionally keep snakes for reasons. JUST the people who think that these vipers, for whatever weird reason, make good house pets.

Bruh the fact that I can literally even see like 4-10 or more snakes in one tree when they filmed the lance head viper

Dang gives me chills

I do not mind the study of various creatures, including ourselves, but not to the extent that you're bringing harm. Study in peace.

If anyone tries to bring one of those in the US, they deserve to be locked in the same cage as the snake. If those came into the US and started multiplying. We would be SCREWED in a few years. If they got into Florida, you can kiss that state goodbye!

If the snakes serve a purpose for science to created lifesaving treatments then they serve a purpose but why anyone should want to steal the snakes is not a good thing to have them as pets or let them breed to the mainland should be a concern.
Perhaps the Brazilian navy should have more patrols of the Island?

I think they're really pretty snakes. It sucks people steal snakes just to have as pets or use for whatever. Leave them be, let them live where they live. I always really liked snakes. I'm not scared of them at all. I'm also not stupid enough to pic up a deadly snake, although I did carefully pick up Copperheads twice in my life to move them to safety. But they're not super poisonous.

When I was deployed in Kuwait I caught a sand Viper with my bare hands. There's no way in hell I would set foot on that island and I have been handling snakes for years
