Raoni Rajão is a professor in Environmental Management and the Social Studies of Science & Technology at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), and an affiliated member of the Brazilian Academy of Science. In this talk, Raoni explains the fallbacks and achievements in a worldwide attempt to save the Amazon forest. Raoni describes the contributions of a whole range of actors in this process: from private companies to governments and NGOs.
