Nice. This moved me to make my own setup.

R - Record
E - Stop (delete recording then start recording)
Q - Stop and delete recording

With this setup, pressing R while recording stops and saves the recording.

I was really sick of pressing CTRL+R while balancing a guitar on my leg. This makes everything so much faster. Thanks for inspiring me to tweak my shortcuts.

I have created another action: "stop recording-delete all recorded media-start recording again". So by just one click on the icon in my toolbar or pressing the dedicated shortcut I just start recording again after a bad take.

I press R to start recording and then press R again to delete recording then start recording again if I don't like the take. And space bar if II want to keep the take. Simple!
