Love those safety looks, especially when it appears that you are the only person on the whole mountain lol

this is terrific. I am a new snowboarder, and I've been struggling with my heel side skidding. This is a perfect tutorial for me.

Love a nice heelside carve, even if you wipe out, worst case you get some pow up the backside : )

The sound of the board cutting through the snow is the best. I'd love to watch a video of Ryan's riding without any commentary, just the ambient sounds.

Ive been riding since 88 and I learned a whole lot from this video. Ive watched a bunch and the descriptions are tedious at best. I learned what ive been doing wrong and cut some real nice heel side carves for the first time. It was something that i never pursued because it didnt come naturally like a toe side carve. I locked in last night and it felt so nice, i yelled "there it is!!!" it wasnt even on a carving board.

This video made me realize I always kick my back leg on heels side transitions. Thanks

Ryan, I've been watching your carving videos for some time. Now I just came back from five days skiing in Riksgränsen, at the peak of northern Sweden. It is an 18 hour train ride from Stockholm. Still 2.5 m snow up there. I practiced your heal side carving tips and they made a ton of difference. The heal side has always been a weak side for me. Wonderful to finally get the technique right. Great fun. I'm so grateful. Thank you!

Up hill safety checks... dude you say this so much... like every video. Youve programmed me now. Damn you Ryan, you've managed to inspire my ride and make me a safer rider.

Perfect example of why you do safety checks right @ 6:00 as Ryan was talking about it. The skier going off the lip is doing nothing wrong, hes shredding hard like we all should, but pay attention to your surroundings ya'll because not everyone else is! Being on the mountain is like being on the road, Shoutouts from from Vail!

Carving is fabulous and those carving butters are so stylish

I love that you make this relatable. You rock!
Working with Donek on a wide enough board for those of us with large feet so I can carve and still have freestyle fun factor.
